One of my life’s verses is Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
I always believe that all that God has allowed in my life, whether they’re good or bad, are for my own benefit. But how can one really say that times of trouble are useful for us?
Jeremiah Complained to God
Jeremiah is one of God’s mighty prophets. But life was extremely difficult for him despite for his love and obedience to God. In the book of Jeremiah chapter 12, Jeremiah presented to God his complaints and questioned Him because of the trouble he faced. And so he called to God for relief but God answered him in Jeremiah 12:5,
“If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?”
It’s like God is saying that if the little problems tired him out, how can he ever face the big challenges in his life?
Facing the Challenges in My Life
I can say that in my life I have experienced a lot of trials that made me the person I am today. I have experienced a lot of failures, people being really mean to me, confessions of sin, trial of waiting, a family member being hospitalized, and so on.
One of the hardest may be the death of my father. It was so painful I don’t want to remember what happened on that entire day. It was so sudden and fast that we didn’t see any signs or even have prepared for it.
My whole family was broken.
Troubles Made Useful By God
All these trials not just made me see and experience God’s love and grace for me but also helped strengthen my faith in Him. They indeed made me a stronger person than before. They helped change my character and habits in a way that will glorify and honor God. And most importantly, I realized how significant my relationship and my faith in God are.
I still face a lot of troubles and challenges in my life especially in my marriage. I just keep on holding on to God and trusting His beautiful promises to me.
With all that’s been happening in my life, I learned that we should be committed to God even when the going gets tough, and when His answers to our prayers don’t bring immediate relief.
Let’s not complain about our problems. The troubles we face today are training us to be strong for the more difficult situations we will face in the future.

How can we trust when things are uncertain? We all face different trials in our lives. These trials either break or make us. But what will you do if you are too broken to stand up again? ? Will you still trust God and hope for the better? ❤️
Let’s read a beautiful story of how Jo, a servant of God, learned to have a heart that trusts even when the future seemed uncertain.
Amen….
This is motivating. Keep the faith. God bless you.
