My Quiet Time With The Lord (A Visit to Touch of Glory Prayer Mountain)

It’s the Holy Week and everybody has their own thing to do, their own place to go, and their own way to meditate and reflect on this very important event for a Christian’s life.

My husband and I had the chance to visit the Touch Of Glory Prayer Mountain yesterday. It is located in Sitio Calumpang Brgy. San Jose Antipolo City. There were already a lot of people when we came.

They have an entrance fee of Php 100.00 if you will visit for the day.

Here are their rates if you’d like to stay overnight or for days:

After paying for our entrance fee at the cafeteria (their cashier is placed there), we went to look for their prayer cells. It is a small room with a small table, a chair, and a kneeling pad.

Here I talked to God and told Him all my concerns. I prayed. I cried. And declared His promises to me.

Last Thursday, I was able to watch again a clip from the movie The Passion of the Christ where Jesus was harshly beaten and crucified. It was so brutal I couldn’t help but cry.

I remember there was a time I asked God “Lord, do I deserve the not-so-good-things that you allow in my life?”

God lovingly rebuked and asked me “Do I deserve what people have done to me on the cross?”

I cried. “Lord of course you don’t! Why would you deserve it when you even prayed for them despite of what they’ve done to you?”

I believe this is what Jesus wants to teach us all:

To love even our enemies and pray for those who’ve hurt us (persecute us).

Matthew 5:44

“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,”

That is, TRUE LOVE.

I know how hard it is but Jesus is teaching us to love others just like how he have loved them. He is willing to die just to save us all and have eternal life with Him. Like what they say, it’s the GREATEST LOVE OF ALL.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

After my quiet time with the Lord, we roamed around the place and found small nipa huts surrounded by a lot of trees. It’s a very relaxing place. You can also have your devotions and quiet time here.

Then we had our lunch at the cafeteria. We enjoyed our food! Our meal cost us P280 with three viands and our favorite “ube” for the dessert!

This time with the Lord made me realize a lot of things. Thank Your Lord for saving me despite of my shortcomings. Thank You Lord for Your great love for all of us.

    2. I love how your quiet time with God turned into a journey, taking you from one place to the next. Allowing you to have a moment with Him flowed into the next minute, hour and it inundated your day with His presence. We never stop meeting with Him. He knows and sees the wrongs done to you, and the beautiful thing about our Lord is that his justice is redemptive. Keep going friend.
